Volt Workforce Solutions is hiring for a 2nd shift CNC Operator
Mills/Lathes - 5 Axis in Valley Center, Ca.
As a CNC Operator Mills/Lathes you will:
Perform a variety of machine setups and operations on manual mills,
lathes, waterjet machines, and saws.
Document machine setup data and maintain all related records and
files, updating them as needed.
Work to close tolerances; select appropriate speeds, feeds, and
tooling based on varying conditions, using reference manuals and
material specifications.
Read and interpret technical documents, including drawings and
reference manuals, to accurately produce parts.
Sharpen and replace tools as required to ensure optimal
performance.
Apply statistical methods and quality control procedures to ensure
product accuracy and consistency.
Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
Maintain compliance with AS9100 quality standards in accordance
with Survival Systems International's Quality Manual.
Utilize ERP systems to record time against appropriate job numbers
as required.
Conduct routine maintenance on equipment to ensure reliable
operation.
This is a full time opportunity
The ideal candidate will have:
High school diploma and two to four years of related experience
and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and
experience.
Experience producing machine parts and assemblies
Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules,
operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, or
government regulations.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of
measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and
interpret bar graphs.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have
knowledge of time keeping manufacturing software, database
software, and Quality Systems Management Programs.
Understand mechanical principles and operating requirements of
power, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
Capable of using hand, power, mechanical tools, and power testing
equipment.

Pay Rate: $23.00-25.00/hr plus shift differential $2.00/hr
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on
several factors, including the candidate's education, work
experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications,
etc.
