Job Description:
A company is looking for a Merchant Underwriter to analyze
merchant applicants for credit card payment processing and merchant
services.
Key Responsibilities
Review and analyze merchant application submissions and provide
solutions for accounts that have been pended, declined, or
withdrawn
Conduct commercial credit application reviews and make
recommendations to management for higher risk exposures
Drive increased submission volume by maintaining positive
relationships with sales partners and ensuring compliance with
underwriting policies
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent
work experience
Minimum 2 years of merchant underwriting experience in the bank
card payment processing industry
Ability to multitask and prioritize while managing relationships
with various stakeholders
Critical thinking and troubleshooting skills for independent
problem-solving using data
