Auxiliary Power Systems Engineer (Senior or Principal) to join the
team in Long Beach, California.Position Responsibilities:
- Leads definition of requirements for auxiliary power
systems.
- Leads definition, coordination and control of the functional
and physical interfaces between the auxiliary power system and the
vehicle.
- Leads development of specifications and architectural and
configuration concepts for associated vehicle systems to meet
customer and regulatory requirements.
- Leads configuration and design of propulsion sub-systems and
components to meet all vehicle design and performance
criteria.
- Leads the use of various testing, analysis, modeling and
simulation tools to estimate or calculate auxiliary power system
performance.
- Leads the definition and performance of certification tests for
auxiliary power sub-systems and components.
- Leads support of fielded systems by developing responses to
customer queries and providing technical recommendations.
- Leads development of concepts for future auxiliary power
systems to meet anticipated requirements. Works under minimal
direction.Work Authorization:This position is expected to be 100%
onsite.The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at
one of the listed location options (Long Beach, CA).Basic
Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study
in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing
engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data
science, or computer science.
- 5+ years of experience with system safety analysis and
documentationPreferred Qualification (Desired Skills / Experience):
- Experience with Airplane Extended Operations (ETOPS).
- Knowledge of aircraft design, systems engineering, model-based
engineering, system integration, requirements management,
propulsion engineering, and turbo-machinery.
- Understanding and application of Project Management.
- Experience with Systems Troubleshooting.Drug Free

- Senior (Level 4): $121,550 - $164,450
