Job Description:
A company is looking for a Mainframe Developer for a contract
role.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain applications on mainframe platforms such as
IBM Z/OS, CICS, JCL, DB2, TSO, and VSAM
Review existing code for functionality and provide recommendations
for modernization
Analyze and resolve complex system issues while influencing
technical and strategic decisions
Required Qualifications
Proficiency in COBOL and mainframe development environments
Deep understanding of software development lifecycles and process
optimization
Experience with risk analysis and legacy system assessment
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies is a
plus
Background in financial services or regulated industries is
preferred
