Job Overview Title: Interventional Radiology Technologist (IR Tech) Department: PCSTMC Interventional Radiology Type: 13-Week Travel Contract Schedule: Day Shift | 5x8-Hour Shifts | 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM Call Required: 1–2 weekdays per week rotating weekends Job Description Summary: We are actively seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to support a full-time 13-week contract in a dynamic and high-volume IR setting. Candidates will assist in a wide range of complex vascular, neurological, genitourinary, and cardiac interventional procedures . This position includes on-call responsibilities (1–2 weekdays/week and rotating weekends) and is open to first-time travelers with at least 2 years of experience . Responsibilities: Assist with and perform a range of interventional radiology procedures including angioplasty, stent placements, biopsies, embolizations, and thrombolysis Participate in cardiac cath lab procedures including PTCA, cardiac stent placements, and hemodynamic monitoring Support neurologic and genitourinary interventions such as carotid angiography, vertebroplasty, biliary drainages, and nephrograms Maintain sterile fields and follow proper scrub, circulate, and equipment setup protocols Provide care and maintenance for central venous access devices, PICC lines, and ports Utilize PACS systems for image capture and documentation Monitor patients during and after procedures with attention to vital signs, sedation, and contrast reaction monitoring Participate in call rotations and be available for urgent/emergent IR cases outside of scheduled shifts
