Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities
--- Operational Management: Oversee all aspects of the division's
operations, including scheduling, staff, and quality control for
janitorial, day porter, and apartment turnover cleaning
services.
--- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and supervise a team of
cleaning staff and supervisors, fostering a culture of
accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
--- Financial Performance: Monitor and manage the division's gross
profit by controlling labor costs, optimizing resource allocation,
and ensuring pricing aligns with service quality and market
standards.
--- Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with
clients, addressing their needs, resolving issues promptly, and
ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
--- Quality Assurance: Implement and enforce standard operating
procedures (SOPs) to maintain consistent, high-quality cleaning
services that meet or exceed client expectations.
--- Inventory and Equipment Management: Oversee the procurement,
maintenance, and efficient use of cleaning supplies and equipment
to minimize waste and costs.
--- Compliance and Safety: Ensure all operations comply with
industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies,
including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and adherence to
OSHA guidelines.
--- Performance Metrics: Develop and track key performance
indicators (KPIs) such as labor efficiency, client retention, and
profitability to drive operational excellence.
--- Budgeting and Reporting: Prepare and manage the division's
budget, provide regular financial and operational reports to senior
management, and identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue
growth.
--- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process
improvements to enhance service delivery, reduce costs, and
increase overall efficiency.
Qualifications:
--- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of operations management
experience in the cleaning, janitorial, or facilities management
industry.
--- Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of financial metrics,
including gross profit, cost control, and budgeting.
--- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and
develop teams, with excellent interpersonal and communication
skills.
--- Language Skills: Bilingual in English and Spanish is desired to
effectively communicate with diverse teams and clients.
--- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with janitorial, day porter,
and apartment turnover cleaning processes, including
industry-standard equipment and cleaning techniques.
--- Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze operational challenges,
develop solutions, and implement effective strategies.
--- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel,
Word, etc.) and experience with workforce management or scheduling
software.
--- Certifications: Certifications in facilities management, safety
training (e.g., OSHA), or cleaning industry standards (e.g., ISSA
CIMS) are a plus.
Work Environment
--- This role involves a combination of office work, field visits,
and client meetings.
--- Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to oversee
operations or address urgent client needs.
--- Ability to travel to various job sites within the division's
service area.
