will grow: Responsible for the design and engineering of automotive
interior components, including hard and soft trim, headliners,
carpet extension, etc. Work with other teams to develop technical
specifications in support of the quoting and sourcing process
Perform virtual and physical verification testing, including field
testing. Ensure designs conform to safety standards and U.S.
government regulations. Proactively stay attuned to consumer
experience and propose system improvements accordingly. Manage
supplier resources efficiently to deliver wire harness designs that
meet cost, timing, and quality targets. Requirements: This is how
you will take us forward: Automotive OEM experience is required
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical
engineering, systems engineering, or a relevant field. 5 years of
experience in automotive interiors engineering and relevant
automotive assignments, covering all phases of product development
(design, test, and launch). Strong technical skills and expertise
in design and release, employing a six-sigma approach to
engineering design and problem-solving. Familiarity with
computer-aided engineering (CAE) or direct experience in this
field. Ability to build strong working relationships with
individuals at all organizational levels.
