Job Description:
Position Title: Program Controls Specialist - School
Construction Program - Owners Team Client / Program: Los Angeles
Unified School District – Asset Management Position Location: LAUSD
Headquarters Building – Downtown Los Angeles Position Start Date:
Approximately August to September Salary $116,480 per year as a
full-time employee, plus full company benefits, including 10 paid
vacation days, 11 paid holidays, and 5 paid sick days. Company
medical insurance and 401K plan Position Overview: The successful
candidate for this position will be assigned to the LAUSD
Facilities Program Position Functions: 1. Assist in
responsibilities related to cost control, budget control, data
management, reporting and the project control system. 2. Identify
best practices and coordinate the development and implementation of
project controls tools and procedures to support these best
practices. 3. Interface with Senior Program Controls Specialist and
Managers to support decision making. 4. Hands on, detailed analysis
and validation of data to ensure accuracy and reasonableness. 5.
Identify and recommend policy changes to improve the effectiveness
of the organization and delivery of projects. 6. Organize program
and project level data to enable timely and accurate reports. 7.
Develop metrics and reports so that accurate and timely information
can be provided to management and stakeholders. 8. Develop new
program and project control processes and procedures related to
budgets, estimates, schedules and roll up of program information.
9. Provide documentation support for program controls processes,
policies and procedures. 10. Provide support for internal and
external audits. 11. Review proposed project budget and scope
changes for proper justification and documentation. 12.
Troubleshoot project-specific budget, scope, schedule, funding or
documentation issues working with other Divisions, Branches or
Departments.
